In a decisive night operation, troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have successfully neutralized a notorious arms trafficker in Nasarawa Burkullu, Zamfara State.
The operation was carried out following credible intelligence about the suspect’s movements.
The suspect, identified as an arms supplier from Anka, attempted to escape upon sighting the troops but was swiftly neutralized. Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that preliminary investigations revealed the suspect was transporting firearms and ammunition intended for criminal groups in the region.
Reports suggest that these criminal elements have been facing a shortage of weapons due to intensified security operations.
This successful interception is seen as a major breakthrough in efforts to curb the proliferation of arms and dismantle criminal networks in Zamfara State.
