A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning in the Takie area of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, when a container-laden truck lost control and fell onto a commercial tricycle, resulting in the deaths of three people.
The incident took place around 9:30 a.m. at Takie Junction.
Eyewitnesses reported that the truck, while navigating a bend, lost control, causing the container it was carrying to topple onto the tricycle. Two female passengers and the tricycle rider were trapped under the heavy container.
Rescue officials confirmed that all three victims died at the scene of the accident. Emergency teams quickly responded to the situation, working to remove the container and clear the road to prevent further accidents and restore traffic flow in the area. At the time of this report, efforts were still underway.
