President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expanded his cabinet with the appointment of Jami’u Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters.
The appointment, effective November 14, 2024, was announced in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, the Director of Information and Public Relations, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The statement emphasized that the appointment complies with the provisions of the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act 2008, as amended.
Jami’u Abiola, who previously served as the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President, is expected to leverage his wealth of experience in his new role.
President Tinubu tasked him with working closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen Nigeria’s international relations and linguistic diplomacy.
