The Lubo community in Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State was thrown into mourning on Monday following the brutal murder of Reverend Bala Galadima, the presiding pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) worship center.
According to reports, the suspected armed robbers stormed the cleric’s residence in the early hours of the morning, killing him in a shocking act of violence that has left the community devastated.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya condemned the “heartless killing” and extended his condolences to the family of the late pastor and the entire ECWA congregation. He further directed security agencies to track down the perpetrators and ensure they face justice.
In a statement released by his media aide, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, the governor expressed deep sorrow and offered his condolences to the family, church members, and the Lubo community.
“Governor Inuwa Yahaya strongly condemned the reprehensible act, describing it as an assault on the peace and security that Gombe State has long enjoyed.
“The governor stressed that such incidents must not be allowed to undermine the peaceful coexistence in the state”, the statement said.
He extended his condolences to the bereaved family, the ECWA Church, and the entire Christian community, praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
