Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has defected from the Young Progressive Party, YPP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ubah gained a new four-year term in the Nigerian Senate in the general election held on February 25.
Ubah was attacked last year at Nkwọ Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of the State in 2022.
He lost his trusted personal assistant, a private photographer and two security details attached to him.
