Protesters return to Lagos streets for #FearlessInOctober, renewing calls to end bad governance

In a continuation of the #EndBadGovernance protests that took place earlier this year, demonstrators have returned to the streets of Lagos despite warnings from security forces.

The protest, now tagged #FearlessInOctober, follows a promise made by protesters in August to resume their demonstrations in October.

While the August protests, which ran from August 1 to 10, garnered significant attention, the October 1 demonstration has not gained the same level of momentum.

However, protesters remain undeterred, determined to keep pushing for reforms and accountability in the face of Nigeria’s ongoing political and economic challenges.

The protest, although smaller in scale, signifies the persistence of citizen-led movements calling for an end to bad governance in Nigeria.

As the demonstration continues, it serves as a reminder of the growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians and their resolve to hold leaders accountable for improving the nation’s governance.
