Background
Born on December 24, 1963 as the first of six children, Aisha hails from a notable family, her father, General Murtala Ramat Muhammed, was a former Head of State of Nigeria, and her mother is Ajoke Muhammed.
Tragically, Aisha lost her father to assassination when she was just twelve years old.
She completed her secondary education at Queen’s College, Lagos, and pursued her law degree at the University of Buckingham in the UK, where she earned an LLB with Honors.
Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law from King’s College, London, an MBA in Finance from Imperial College, London, and a doctorate from SOAS University of London.
Career journey
Aisha began her national youth service at the Ministry of External Affairs in Lagos from 1988 to 1989.
She started her legal career as an associate at the law firm Ajumogobia, Okeke, Oyebode & Aluko in 1989, before founding Asset Management Group Limited, a real estate development firm, in 1991.
Her leadership extends to various boards, including as Chair of the Unity School Old Students Association and a non-executive director at Diamond Bank Nigeria.
