President Tinubu presides over final FEC meeting of 2024

President Bola Tinubu is currently chairing the 21st Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House in Abuja, likely the last session for 2024.

The meeting commenced at 1:20 p.m. on Monday, following the President’s arrival at the Council Chamber.

In attendance are key government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack; as well as all ministers and ministers of state.

However, Vice President Kashim Shettima is notably absent as he is representing President Tinubu in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Shettima is attending the commissioning and naming ceremony of a $315 million oil production and storage facility.

This FEC meeting is expected to focus on critical policy decisions and a review of the government’s activities over the past year. As the administration reflects on its achievements and challenges, the outcomes of this session will likely set the tone for its priorities in 2025.
