President Tinubu names 4 new Permanent Secretaries for FCTA amid leadership transition

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of four new permanent secretaries to serve in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

These appointments come as two current secretaries are set to retire, and with the establishment of a new Youth Development Secretariat, there was a need to fill these key positions.

The newly appointed secretaries are Okeke Joy Chinwe from the South East, Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde from the South West, and Nathan Nancy Sabanti from the North East. Additionally, President Tinubu has elevated the role of the Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration, formalizing it as Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.

The swearing-in ceremony for these new appointees, including the Youth Mandate Secretary, is scheduled for Thursday, August 15, 2024.

According to Anthony Ogunleye, the FCTA Director of Press, these appointments are essential to ensure the effective administration of the FCT as it adjusts to changing needs and new leadership dynamics.

With this fresh leadership, the FCTA is well-positioned to continue its mission, maintaining the smooth operation of its various departments and advancing its objectives for the Federal Capital Territory.
