Police rescue wife of former AIG Hakeem Odumosu, neutralize kidnappers

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have successfully rescued the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, who was abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Ogun State.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the rescue in a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday morning.

During the operation, the police neutralized the abductors and recovered the ransom money they had extorted. This swift action highlights the efficiency of the force in combating criminal activities.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, lauded the prompt and strategic response by the operatives and commended Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for his exemplary leadership in managing the case.
