
Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, has shared his deep sorrow following the death of his police driver, Corporal Barde Nuhu, who tragically lost his life in a car accident while traveling to visit his family in Niger State.
The accident occurred on Saturday as Corporal Barde was en route to Shata village in Bosso Local Government Area.
In a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau expressed admiration for Corporal Barde’s commitment and dedication, describing him as a police officer who performed his duties with integrity and diligence.
The senator extended heartfelt condolences to Corporal Barde’s family and the Nigeria Police Force, honoring the late officer’s service and mourning his untimely loss.
“With a heavy heart but total submission to the will of Allah SWT, I mourn the passing of CPL Barde Nuhu, who died in a car accident while on his way to Bosso Local Government Area in Niger State. He was a hardworking, dedicated, and committed Police officer. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdausi,” he said.
On Sunday, Senator Barau dispatched a delegation led by his Aide De Camp, SP Abdulrahman Baba Garba, to Shata, Barde’s hometown in Bosso Local Government Area, to convey condolences to the family of the late officer.
The delegation met with Barde’s wife, children, and parents, offering prayers for his soul and comfort to the grieving family.
“The deputy president of the Senate donated money to support the family of the late police officer,” the statement added.
