On Monday, the Oyo Assembly’s entrance gate was closed by employees working under the auspices of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN).
The workmen, who erected a barricade at the entrance, were observed dancing to the DJ’s music.
The employees stated that the action was taken in accordance with the association’s national command, which demanded a statewide walkout over state legislators’ failure to enact financial autonomy.
However, while guests and staff continued with their regular business, the minor protest did not impede operations at the Oyo Secretariat.
