NUJ releases guidelines, timetable for 8th triennial delegates’ conference in Owerri

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has unveiled the guidelines and timetable for its 8th Triennial Delegates’ Conference, scheduled to take place in Owerri, Imo State.

The conference is set to run from November 26th to 28th, 2024.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, and the Secretary, Alhaji Ademu Seidu Haruna, the union outlined key details and expectations for the event.

The statement urged all contestants to familiarize themselves with the amended NUJ constitution, particularly Articles 3, 4, 5, and 6.

The timetable for the event includes the issuance and submission of nomination forms, which will occur from September 2nd to September 23rd, 2024.

The committee emphasized that the detailed guidelines and timetable will be shared on the NUJ’s National Executive Council (NEC) platform and distributed to all State Councils.
