The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Mele Kyari has maintained that the company is not planning to increase its pump prices for Premium Motor Spirit, commonly referred to as petrol.
Speaking with State House correspondents shortly after a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Kyari said the prices remain the same and queues at some fuel stations in some parts of the country is due to panic buying, noting that Nigeria has over 1.4billion liters in stock.
He added that the Federal Government is addressing Oil Marketers’ challenges bothering on access to Foreign exchange. NNPCL GMD also debunked reports that the Federal Government has again reintroduced the payment of petrol subsidy.
