Gov.Bago addressing world press conference on Green Economic summit

In a move aimed at addressing the grievances of casual hospital workers, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved a monthly wage of ₦80,000 for all casual staff across the state’s healthcare facilities.

The decision comes after casual employees at the Minna General Hospital raised concerns about their employment conditions.

Governor Bago, during a recent meeting with the affected workers in Minna, assured them of his administration’s commitment to improving their welfare.

As part of the measures, the governor announced that casual workers with degree qualifications who have served for 10 to 15 years will receive automatic appointments.

Workers with diploma certifications, however, will be placed on probationary appointments, with the condition that they upgrade their qualifications within three years.

This initiative reflects the administration’s dedication to ensuring fair treatment and fostering professional development for healthcare workers, ultimately improving the state’s healthcare system.
