Birth

Esther Audu was born into a family of six, the youngest child of Mr. James Audu, a retired military officer.

Although born in Lagos, her family’s roots trace back to Olamaboro in Kogi State.

Education

Growing up in the Ikeja Military Cantonment, she completed her primary and junior secondary education in Lagos.

In 2002, her family relocated to Abuja, where she completed her secondary education.

In 2006, Esther gained admission to the University of Jos, Plateau State, where she pursued a degree in Business Management. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management.

Acting career

Esther’s passion for acting blossomed during her secondary school years, where she actively participated in Drama and Literary clubs.

Initially aspiring to become a newscaster, her dreams shifted toward acting after representing Nigeria at Kidafest in Ghana in 1996.

Her first lead role came in the films ‘Ungodly Romance’ and ‘Sins of Rachael’, both shot in Jos.

These early roles laid the foundation for her Nollywood career. While studying at university, she continued acting, featuring in ‘Fatal Mistake’ which marked a significant moment in her career.
