ICGS alumni to provide digital facilities for e-learning in alma mater

The set of 2001 Alumni Association of Imane Community Grammar School (ICGS) in Kogi, has resolved to provide digital facilities to enhance e-learning in the school.

The President of the set, Mr Alphonsus Adams made this known at the inaugural ceremony of the association in Abuja on Saturday.

Adams said that the initiative was in line with the theme of the 2023 International Day of the African Child, “Right of the Child in the Digital Environment.”

He said that the association provided opportunity for members to interact as a class after 22 years, and fashion out ways to support themselves and the school.

“It is part of our agenda, as it stands we are trying to introduce a computer department in the school to expose the young ones early enough to digital learning as they further their education.

“I told the principal last week that I will send four laptop computers to the school to encourage the setting up of the department,” he said.

Adams said that the set will collaborate with other sets and organisations to reroof some of the classrooms, rehabilitate corps members lodge and facilitate their posting to the school.
