Gov Adeleke signs Osun State’s N427b 2025 budget into law

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has signed the state’s 2025 budget into law. The ₦427 billion appropriations bill, titled ‘Budget of Growth and Sustainable Development,’ aims to drive economic growth and sustainable development across the state.

The signing ceremony took place at the Exco Lounge of the Governor’s Office in the presence of cabinet members and legislators. The final budget reflects an increase of ₦37 billion from the initial ₦390 billion proposed by the governor.

Speaking at the event, Governor Adeleke emphasized that the budget focuses on key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.

He expressed optimism that the budget would address critical developmental challenges while laying a solid foundation for long-term growth.

Speaking at the signing process, the Osun State governor said,

“Consequently, I direct Ministries, Agencies, and Departments to vigorously pursue the implementation for the benefit of the citizens of the state.

“Our budget performance must continue to be commendable on a quarterly basis,” the governor said.

He further directed the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development to ensure the complete implementation of the bill in the coming fiscal year.
