Former PDP chairman, Alhaji Milgoma, passes away

The Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is mourning the loss of its former chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, who passed away in an Abuja hospital after a prolonged illness.

Milgoma, who led the PDP in Sokoto State from 2015 to 2018, was known for his dedication to the party and his significant contributions to the political development of the state.

The news of his passing was confirmed by Malam Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, the Sokoto State PDP Publicity Secretary, in an official statement.

The party expressed deep sorrow over Milgoma’s death, describing him as a distinguished leader and a gentleman whose impact on Sokoto State and Nigeria will not be forgotten.

“The Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has learnt with deep grief, the death of its former chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, who died in Abuja following a protracted illness,” the statement read.

During his tenure, Milgoma’s leadership was instrumental in the PDP’s success in the 2019 general elections in Sokoto State.

His commitment to the party and the state earned him a reputation as a father figure in Sokoto’s political circles.

In their message of condolence, the Sokoto State PDP prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive Milgoma’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannat Firdaus.

The party also extended its prayers to Milgoma’s family and the people of Sokoto State, seeking strength and comfort as they mourn the loss of a respected leader.

Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma’s legacy will be remembered for his dedication to public service and his role in shaping the political landscape of Sokoto State.
