Bandits have abducted Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), the former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The attack occurred around 12:30 am on Thursday, as heavily armed assailants stormed the village, firing sporadically to create chaos and panic among residents.
Eyewitnesses reported that Tsiga was taken alongside several other villagers, with their whereabouts still unknown.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the abduction or any ongoing rescue efforts.
