Emirates Airlines reveals date to resume daily operations in Nigeria

Emirates Airlines has announced that it will resume daily operations in Nigeria on October 1, 2024, delivering unprecedented connectivity for Nigerian travelers.

As per details from the airline’s website, Emirates will recommence services to Nigeria from October 1st, 2024, with a daily service between Lagos and Dubai, offering passengers an array of choices and seamless connectivity from Nigeria’s largest city to Dubai and beyond.

The airline will operate the service using a Boeing 777-300ER. The outbound flight, EK783, will depart Dubai at 09:45hrs, arriving in Lagos at 15:20hrs. The return flight, EK784, will depart Lagos at 17:30hrs and arrive in Dubai at 05:10hrs the following day. Tickets are now available for booking on Emirates’ official website and through travel agents.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airlines, expressed excitement about the resumption of services to Nigeria, highlighting the popularity of the Lagos-Dubai route among Nigerian customers. He also expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government for their partnership and support in reinstating the route.

With the relaunch of operations to Nigeria, Emirates now operates to 19 gateways in Africa, offering 157 flights per week from Dubai. Through its codeshare and interline partnerships with airlines like South African Airways, Airlink, and Royal Air Maroc, Emirates provides connectivity to an additional 130 regional points in Africa.

Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s cargo arm, will play a significant role in bolstering trade relations between Nigeria and the UAE, offering over 300 tonnes of belly-hold cargo capacity in and out of Lagos every week. This includes the transportation of vital goods such as pharmaceuticals and electronics from key markets like the UAE, India, and Hong Kong.

The Emirates Boeing 777-300ER serving Lagos will feature eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 seats in Economy Class. Passengers can enjoy a wide range of entertainment options, including over 6,500 channels of global entertainment, with a selection of 23 Nigerian movies.
