Vice President Kashim Shettima has convened an emergency meeting with top officials at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to address the recent surge in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
In attendance at the meeting are the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The meeting comes as Nigerians continue to feel the impact of the escalating petrol prices, which have raised concerns about inflation and economic strain.
Further details on the outcomes of this crucial meeting are expected soon, as the government seeks to manage the situation and provide relief to citizens.
