The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has confirmed that the Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State has officially begun processing crude oil.
Femi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPCL, made the announcement on the X platform (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
According to Soneye, the refinery will initially operate at 60% capacity, processing 60,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil.
