
As the race for Ondo State Governorship Election continue, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated and screened all the sixteen aspirants for its April 20th primary election in the state.
Inaugurating members of the screening and appeal committee at the party National Secretariat in Abuja, the APC National Working Committee (NWC) directed the Screening Committee to allow lawmakers, incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and its National Vice Chairman South West, Isaacs Kekemeke, participating in the exercise to take bow and go during the screening.
Addressing newsmen after their screening exercise, the executive governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa who declared that there is no vacancy for the governorship seat in the state, advised other aspirants trying to bring him down using academic his qualifications to desist from it.
Other aspirants however faulted the governor’s claims, while expressing determination to continue their quest for the number one office in the sunshine state.
Meanwhile, all the sixteen aspirants have been screened by the party and are ready to participate in the primaries using the Direct Mode of election adopted by the party.
