Christianah was reportedly abducted along the Ikorodu-Yaba Road in Lagos in August 2024, a case that has drawn significant attention online, with the hashtag #JusticeForChristianah trending on X (formerly Twitter).

Social media users have been calling for swift justice, expressing outrage and concern.

Ayomide Adeleye, a 200-level Philosophy student at OOU, was handed over to the Lagos State Police by the Nigerian Army’s 9 Brigade on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

The arrest was shared by Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who posted a photo of the handcuffed suspect on X and confirmed that investigations are ongoing.

“23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye has been handed over to @LagosPoliceNG by 9 Brigade @HQNigerianArmy. The handover took place today, September 5, 2024, at about 1400hrs. Investigation is ongoing.”

The case has garnered even more attention as online users linked Ayomide to the suspicious deaths of his ex-girlfriend in 2018 and his sister in 2020, raising concerns about a possible pattern of violence.

Calls for a thorough investigation into Ayomide’s background and swift justice for Christianah continue to flood social media.

As the investigation unfolds, many are hopeful that the authorities will ensure justice for Christianah, whose tragic death has sparked widespread calls for action.
